Plus, we've got flaming skulls. Yes, you heard us right. Flaming. Skulls. It doesn't get any better than this, folks. At least not without prescription meds. |

What are we drinking?
Lani had 2004 Lindeman's Bin 70 Chardonnay Riesling. Wine notes: Light and refreshing, with a modest level of white grapefruit and apple flavors giving this dry wine some charm; description stolen shamefully from WineSpectator.com Sam had 2005 Woop Woop Shiraz from S.E. Australia (in honor of Ann). $11. Wine notes: It’s deep in colour with great intensity, bursting with blackberry fruit juice, blueberry jam and is balanced with black liquorice, pepper and spice giving tremendous flavour and length. It weighs in at 15% alcohol!
Special thanks: To Laura Fitzgerald for the great wine from MyWinesDirect.com!
Reader question was from Nikkie in Colorado:
Love the logo- Who made the wine glass ring for the logo? How many glasses did you have to drink to get the "right" wine ring? What kind of wine is it by the way?
Writer question was from Jill. Send quick healing vibes for her back!:
When you research for your books is there one really odd factoid that surprises you?
We Recommend!
Lani recommends: Jason Mraz (musician) Sam recommends: Ghost Rider (movie)

Apologies to: Winespectator.com who unknowingly allowed Lani to steal their very skillfully written wine description (does blatant flattery get me a pass?), Mexican food, anyone grossed out by BBM and TP, Ghost Rider (it really was a good movie!), Nicholas Cage, Sony Pictures, goth girls and white boy rappers.

Loving the podcast! And your recommendations have reminded me to thank you, Lani, for introducing me to Jason Mraz (via the Cherries). I LOVE him and can often be heard bellowing along with Absolutely Zero (my current fave) in the car. :)

Squeeeeeee!!! Did you hear the fan girl all the way from Colorado? You used my question!!!! And I loved the answer. Adding food color to wine is considered sacrilege in many parts of the world; however, I do believe that since it was a one time thing, and done for a good cause, Bacchus will probably let you slide. The hard work was worth it. It looks great.

Hey, Keris!!! So glad I was able to bring someone over to the JM love! He is definitely a classic fave. I just listened to "Tonight, Not Again" in the car - he's amazing live, isn't he?
And squeeeeeeee back, Nikkie! It was a great question, and I'm so glad you asked, because Sam worked really hard for that awesome logo and she won't let me brag about her, so you did my dirty work for me! And extra points for you for bringing Bacchus into the conversation - you are totally bringing up the property value around here!
