Show Notes: 014 - The Long Finish

Description: This week on Will Write For Wine...Lani and Sam try to drink non-alcoholic wine... and fail utterly! Also, stony, earthy, leathery wine... and that description is straight from the winery! We create The Best Story Ever, and we’ll probably still think so even when we sober up. Plus we take you to Vegas, write butt e-mails, and almost get arrested! Okay... maybe just those first two.
Pssst...download it now...you know you want to...

What are we drinking?
Lani had a 2006 Osprey Glen Sauvignon Blanc.
Wine notes: The Osprey Glen is a rarity, striking a balance by bringing bits of all three personalities together. Notes of mango, lemon, and peach? Sure. The zing of passionfruit? Yep. A more subtle touch of stoniness to round it out? That, too. It’s medium-bodied and soft, with a clean finish.
13.4% alcohol, and it's $13 a bottle through MyWinesDirect.com.

Sam had a 2004 Wrongo Dongo Jumilla Red wine from Spain.
Wine notes: Deep ruby/violet. Medium nose of blackberry, meat, german chocolate cake and earth. Round, rich mouth of berries, spice, leather and brown sugar.
14% alcohol. $8.

Shout-out to:
Catherine Wade for helping us with the improv!
Doris in Munich for The Red Wine Diet book recommendation and for adding that we didn't really need a diet. We love you!
Listener question:
From Eileen Rendahl. Thank you, Eileen!Could you talk a little about how to build sexual tension in a story? I don't want my heroine to seem like a prude, but I don't want her to be too slutty either.

We Recommend!
Lani recommends: Bubble Shooter (internet game)
Sam recommends: KitchenAid Stand Mixers (kitchen gadgets)
This episode’s theme:
Writer Improv: Creating the Heroine
Random Etcetera: Killer Words
Lani: lagniappe
Sam: soubrette
Write In: The week’s progress
Lani: Thinking…pondering the meaning of life…and thinking…and playing Bubble Shooter...
Sam: Wrote a bunch of pages and finished the book! Yay, Sam!

You two ever consider therapy? We see how the NA wine idea went... LOL

Sorry you had to run me down for the improv stuff, Lani. I swear one day I will get this right!

I adore the idea of the book, especially the part of her brother's role in the wine fraud and the hero being a bit player in some Vegas crime ring. Now I'm dying to know more about the hero and JB and this mysterious female criminal leader. :)

I just had to let you know that I purchased not one, not two, but three bottles of wine this week. I blame both of you. :) I am not a wine drinker, but I am determined to become one.

I never would have even tried to buy wine if it wasn't for your discussions. I was even able to recognize a brand!

The grocery store had one wine at 3 for $10, but I only bought one of those -- Tisdale Vineyards Chardonnay. I also Bought Lindemans Bin99 Pinot Noir, alas it was the 2006 not the 2005. Oh, and one I bought totally because of its name -- Barefoot, a California merlot. I haven't tried the Lindemans yet, but I've already cracked open the other two.

I just had to share. :)

You two must write this story. It sounds like so much fun.
