What are we drinking?
Lani had Chateau LaFayette Reneau Seyval Chardonnay. No year, she's not sure exactly why. Wine notes: A flowery nose with apple and vanilla aroma. Smooth and crisp with ample fruit. Subtle oak mingles on the palate to produce this truly unique Chardonnay.

Sam had 2005 Cartlidge & Browne Pinot Noir from California. $14. Wine notes: This silky pinot noir is redolent of plum and berry, with notes of Asian spice and anise. 13.5% alcohol.

Shout-out to:

Supports of Sam’s new release, Sight Unseen, Debbie for the picture, Voters on Podcast Alley, Myspacers.
Reader question was from Debbie in Raleigh:
What kind of wine would you recommend for someone who doesn't like wine?

Writer question was from Keris in the UK:
In the first show you said that until you wrote TIME OFF FOR GOOD BEHAVIOR you had never finished a book. Now that you are so prolific, can you explain what changed? Is it the process? Taking your writing seriously? The pressure of contracts? :)
We Recommend!
Lani recommends: Smart Bitches who Read Trashy Books (Note: not necessarily work safe)
Sam recommends: Suitcase by Keb’ Mo’ (CD)

What are we drinking?
Lani had 2004 Lindeman's Bin 70 Chardonnay Riesling. Wine notes: Light and refreshing, with a modest level of white grapefruit and apple flavors giving this dry wine some charm; description stolen shamefully from WineSpectator.com

Sam had 2005 Woop Woop Shiraz from S.E. Australia (in honor of Ann). $11. Wine notes: It’s deep in colour with great intensity, bursting with blackberry fruit juice, blueberry jam and is balanced with black liquorice, pepper and spice giving tremendous flavour and length. It weighs in at 15% alcohol!

Special thanks: To Laura Fitzgerald for the great wine from MyWinesDirect.com!
Reader question was from Nikkie in Colorado:
Love the logo- Who made the wine glass ring for the logo? How many glasses did you have to drink to get the "right" wine ring? What kind of wine is it by the way?
Writer question was from Jill. Send quick healing vibes for her back!:
When you research for your books is there one really odd factoid that surprises you?
We Recommend!
Lani recommends: Jason Mraz (musician)
Sam recommends: Ghost Rider (movie)

Apologies to: Winespectator.com who unknowingly allowed Lani to steal their very skillfully written wine description (does blatant flattery get me a pass?), Mexican food, anyone grossed out by BBM and TP, Ghost Rider (it really was a good movie!), Nicholas Cage, Sony Pictures, goth girls and white boy rappers.
